about the musicians:
Mark Karan is a Bay area artist best known for his long term work with Bob Weir and Ratdog. He has played guitar and sung for a number of different artists, including Dave Mason, Huey Lewis, Delaney Bramlett, Sophie B. Hawkins, and The Rembrandts. In 1998 he was selected to fill Jerry Garcia’s slot in The Other Ones, a band featuring former members of the Grateful Dead. He has also played with Mickey Hart’s Planet Drum and Phil Lesh & Friends over the years. He is currently performing with Live Dead ’69, a band which also features Grateful Dead keyboardist Tom Constanten.

Wynne Paris is a Kirtan artist and producer who has recorded and performed with many beloved chant artists including Krishna Das, Wah!, GuruGanesha Singh, Gaura Vani, Tina Malia. His Grandmother, a devotee of Yogananda, introduced him to Bhakti as a young child and after a decade as a rock musician, the seeds of Karma ripened in 1994 and Wynne was invited to play with Amma – Mata Amritananadamayi and H.H. The Dalai Lama. In 1997 Wynne helped Krishna Das record and produce the breakout recording ‘PILGRIM HEART’ and began a 20 year tour of the US, playing yoga studios, festivals, ashrams, house parties, and concerts. In 2016, Wynne cofounded the Lovelight yoga and arts festival with Woodstock festival producer Michael Lang.

Sunshine Deva will be joined by DC percussion ace Romero Wyatt on Cajon, dumbek and vocals.
